This is my little alabaster sculpture called 'Close Reach'. It floats above the marble base by about 1/8" because it has a pin and sleeve holding it to the base. The little felt pads, which are able to be seen in some photos, are in place to provide just a little separation as the sculpture is able to be rotated. The overall height is about 7 inches high and 6 inches wide.
This sculpture received a First Place ribbon during the 2016 Art Aloft at the Guilded Gallery in Stanwood, Wa.
