This small sculpture is a piece of Carrera marble about 6 inches tall, 1 1/2 inches wide, and 1/2 inches at the thickest point, tapering to a sharp edge. It is pin and sleeve mounted on a base of chlorite.
This is a small slice of stone from a large sculpture made by Karla Matzke in Carrera Italy.
There is a translucent beauty within the stone which is seen when it is lit from the back side.
