“Spring Break Dreams” is an acrylic painting on a 6”X6”X2” deep cradled gesso panel. The painting has a heavy coat of gesso intended to provide a surface which will accent shadows during any changes of light.
This painting is on exhibit at:
The Matzke Fine Art and Sculpture Park
on Camano Island, WA.

While painting this piece, my thoughts were of a student who has had a rough school year and is dreaming of going south where it will be warm and bright. I attempted to create a warm and soft feel to the overall painting.
Because of he cradled panel, this small painting is able to be wall hung or placed on a flat surface.
